Research study · open professional data

Brighty App — analytical breakdown.

This is a study of Brighty built entirely from open professional data — no access to internal systems. We worked through four angles: company and team, hiring dynamics, profiles of the potential audience, and candidate research for open roles. Each section pairs an analytical breakdown with the structured dataset it was built on — one you can verify yourself. The reports follow in order: the natural place to start is report #1 (company, team, hiring).

Professional profiles Funding and companies — rounds, amounts, investors GitHub — engineering footprint Social and the public web Enriched contacts — email · phone
  • Stitched into one profile. One person = career + company + code + contacts, not five disconnected lists.
  • Deep and complete. On average ~116 fields per person (up to 148): role, tenure, location, education, skills.
  • Fresh. The graph updates continuously — this is not a three-year-old export.
  • Refreshed on demand. Any profile or company can be pulled live at the moment of the deal.
Anatomy of a profile · what every breakdown is built on

Every report is assembled from a single building block: a profile where career, company, education, skills, contacts, and public code are stitched into one object. Up to 148 fields per person (on the Brighty export — 116 on average), all searchable and filterable. The graph holds 1.17B such profiles.

A short summary from public information

A few findings from the reports above — each went through "hypothesis → check against the data." Everything is measured against the external professional graph, with no access to Brighty's internal systems: this is what's visible from the outside today. The goal isn't to "catch" anything, but to help you see what's hard to see from the inside.

1 vs 1,526
hypothesis confirmed: Brighty has 1 marketing/growth position; Revolut hired 1,526 in a single year. No owner of growth while "customer discovery" is the priority. Detailed in the competitor research.
45 / 60
people the graph connects to Brighty: 45 current + 15 departed. The company publicly lists ~37 — we see the team more completely, by name.
~21%
of the audience is "stuck" on the old company page (former name Razz Finanzz, 1,147 followers) — a free fix, covered in report #1.
3 / 45
employees are actually in Switzerland — despite the Swiss HQ, the team is distributed: Lithuania 13, Dubai 9, plus a long tail across 17 countries.
9
the Revolut→Brighty corridor: that many team members came from Revolut. A proven warm channel for both hiring and outreach.
6×
that's how many times the MLRO role was reopened — the hardest hire. A dedicated candidate dataset was built for it (S1).
68 → 1
68 roles over time, one open right now (HR Ops, Vilnius). The whole hiring history is visible, not just one snapshot.
A useful observation from the data. In Western fintech, the "chief accountant" role is almost never titled Chief Accountant (only 4 found) — the same function is called Financial Controller (60). Searching for "Chief Accountant" would miss 90% of the market. Covered in the CFO dataset.
