Outricher / research / brighty-app · hot leads

Who your hot leads are — and how we pull them from the data.

The first two reports looked inward at Brighty — at your team and your hiring. This one looks outward: who Brighty's next customer is, and where they already sit in the professional graph. Working as business analysts, we built 8 buyer personas across four lines of demand. Each persona passes two tests: (1) it's a genuinely likely Brighty user — with the reasoning why; (2) it can be found in our data — which we verified against the live base rather than assuming. At the end: a recommendation on which ICPs to extract first.

01Summary for the founder

If you read only one section — read this. Six takeaways, each expanded below.

  1. Brighty has four sources of hot demand, not one. Displacing competitors · people with crypto income · migrants and relocators · B2B. For each one we can raise a named list from our base.
  2. The hottest and most cost-efficient lead is competitors' users. They already carry another brand's crypto-card and understand the category. In the EU alone we see 5,353 current employees of crypto-card competitors and 21,405 at neobanks. This is the lowest-cost channel to source: a precise company filter.
  3. The largest audience is people with crypto income in the EU. They're paid in crypto / stablecoins and live in Europe → they need exactly Brighty's spend rail (card + IBAN + earn). Across 9 named crypto companies — 4,238 current EU employees; across 20 known EU crypto firms — 6,501 (+53%); across the full company set — many times more.
  4. Migration is an underrated line and our strongest differentiator. Diaspora and recent relocators live cross-border by default: transfers home, multi-currency, crypto as a channel. We surface them through career analysis (country of education, prior employer, year of move) — the kind a founder can't assemble alone.
  5. B2B delivers the highest LTV. Founders and finance chiefs at early EU crypto companies are direct buyers of Brighty Business. We find them with the same company + title filter — the dataset is already ready: the B2B buyers report.
  6. Brighty's own connections are ready-made warm channels. A CTO from a major neobank → their alumni network; the partnership with the Shariah ecosystem → its members. These aren't cold lists but leads with shared context.
How to read this. Every figure below is current employees (per our data) as of the verification date. Where we show a sample from a few companies, we flag it: the real pool is wider. Where a persona is built through complex career analysis, we proved the pattern exists with live examples rather than an eyeball estimate.

02How we reasoned: two tests for every persona

A buyer persona is only worth building if both conditions hold. Many "perfect ICPs" fail on the second.

TEST A · BUSINESS LOGIC

Is this a genuine Brighty customer?

tied to a specific feature and pain, not "looks like a crypto person"

Questiondoes this person have a pain that Brighty specifically solves — a no-fee card, an IBAN in EUR/USD/GBP, earn without DeFi babysitting, instant conversion?
Geo gateBrighty operates in the EU/EEA + Switzerland/Andorra/Montenegro. Every B2C persona is strictly limited to these markets — a lead outside the product zone isn't a lead.
TEST B · FINDABILITY

Can we pull them from the data?

this is our strength — and here the personas split into two types

Strategy Acompany anchor. A "current employees of company X" filter — the most direct, fast and precise path. This is how we find competitors' users, crypto earners, B2B founders.
Strategy Bcareer analysis. Country of education, prior employer, year of relocation. More expensive, but exactly the analytics a founder doesn't own — our differentiator for the migration personas.
Why this is honest. We don't invent an audience "that could exist." We take a real product pain, translate it into a signal that exists in the data, and verify the volume against the live base. A persona without findability is marketing fantasy; a persona without business logic is just a list. We need both.

03Demand map: four lines

The eight personas group into four families. Different families mean a different message, a different cost to source, a different temperature.

04Family I — Displacing competitors

The warmest lead is someone already living in the category. These people don't need convincing that a "crypto-card" makes sense at all; they need convincing that Brighty is better than the one they already have.

P1 · FAMILY I · STRATEGY A

Refugee from a competitor crypto-card

5,353 in the EUA

"already carries another brand's crypto-card — knows the category, wants a better home"

Why a customerThese people already spend crypto with a card and put up with a competitor's friction: staking a token for cashback (Wirex), an over-complicated ecosystem (Crypto.com), a "borrow against collateral" model (Nexo). A no-fee Mastercard + an IBAN in EUR/USD/GBP + earn without a token is a direct upgrade pitch, not a from-scratch category explainer.

P2 · FAMILY I · STRATEGY A

Fintech early adopter

21,405 in the EUA

"works at an EU neobank — installs every new money app on release day"

Why a customerA neobank employee is the textbook early adopter of a new financial app: they already live in IBANs, cards and instant transfers and evaluate competitors professionally. On top of that, Brighty's CTO comes from a major neobank, so that neobank's alumni network is a warm, credible channel.

05Family II — Crypto income

If a person gets paid in crypto and lives in Europe, they face exactly the task Brighty solves every single month: turn a token into spendable euros without losing half a day to it.

P3 · FAMILY II · STRATEGY A (company set)

Crypto earner in the EU

A+ · the largest

"paid partly in crypto / stablecoins, lives in the EU — needs a spend-and-earn rail, not yet another exchange"

Why a customerAny employee of a crypto / Web3 company in the EU is regularly rewarded in tokens / stablecoins and hits Brighty's exact pain: convert to fiat, get a real IBAN, spend with a card and park idle stablecoins at ~10% APY without manual DeFi. This isn't "could be a customer" — it's a monthly scenario.

B2B · FAMILY II · STRATEGY A (company + title)

Crypto founder — a Brighty Business buyer

A+ · high LTV

"runs an early EU crypto company that needs a crypto + fiat business account"

Why a customerBrighty Business targets exactly this: companies dealing in digital assets that need onboarding, crypto + fiat payment operations, OTC, risk checks and corporate cards. A B2B account carries LTV many times a single B2C user's, and these founders are reachable and decide fast.

06Family III — Migration (our strongest differentiator)

A migrant and a relocator live cross-border by definition: transfers home, two currencies in hand, crypto as a way around banking friction. These are some of the most active crypto-wallet users — and exactly the people served by Brighty's multi-currency IBAN + card + instant transfers. We pull them through career analysis — the thing a founder can't assemble alone.

P5 · FAMILY III · STRATEGY B (career analysis)

EU diaspora professional

pattern confirmed

"studied in RU/UA/IN/CN/TR, now a professional in the EU — sends money home and juggles currencies"

Why a customerA cross-border, multi-currency life is the default mode for this group: remittances home, EUR + home currency in hand, crypto as a way around banking barriers. They're among the most active crypto-wallet users — and precisely the people served by Brighty's multi-currency IBAN + card + instant transfers.

P6 · FAMILY III · STRATEGY B (career analysis + recency)

CIS IT / crypto relocator (after 2022)

pattern confirmed

"left a CIS IT / crypto employer for the EU after 2022 — recently arrived, needs a new IBAN, trusts crypto more than the queue at a local bank"

Why a customerA recent move is the sharpest trigger to switch banks: no local credit history, an urgent need for an IBAN, and many already hold crypto as the channel they moved money through. Brighty opens an account quickly and turns crypto into a spendable euro balance — closing both pains at once.
Signal in the dataa past position at a CIS tech / crypto employer + a current position in the product zone, started in 2022 or later
ICP parameterValue

Geo (current)EU/EEA + CH/AD/ME
Recencycurrent position start year ≥ 2022
Titletech / product / data / finance (mobile, crypto-literate)
★ Verified and extracted: ex-Yandex → Booking.com/TomTom (NL), ex-Kaspersky → Wrike (CY), ex-Sberbank → DE/ES, ex-Tinkoff → CY/PT — all with a 2022+ move. See the P6 dataset in detail (934 enriched, 582 hot, 64 founders / C-level, dataset).
Why this line is our differentiator. P1–P3 and the B2B persona can in principle be assembled by hand if you know the company list. P5–P6 can't: they require reading each person's career trajectory (where they studied, where they left, when). That's exactly the analytics on top of the professional graph that clients come to us for. A founder can't build such a list alone.

07Family IV — Niches and connections

Two narrow but highly-grounded personas: one leans on the product format (creators + Business), the other on a partnership Brighty already has.

P7 · FAMILY IV · B2B NICHE · STRATEGY A

Web3-gaming / creator studio

B

"an EU GameFi / NFT / creator-tooling team that earns and pays in crypto"

Why a customerSuch studios live on crypto revenue and pay members / creators across borders — and Brighty has both a "For Creators" product and business accounts. The studio is a B2B account; its creators are B2C users. Two pitches, one company.

Shariah audience (partner network)

B

"inside an ecosystem Brighty is already partnered with — wants halal crypto-banking"

08What's next: from personas to extraction

This is phase 1 — analysis and ICP. Phase 2 is extraction for the chosen personas: named lists of people with role, location, career and (where available) contacts, in the same format as your own team in reports 1–2.

01
We translated Brighty's business into demand — four lines, eight personas
Displacing competitors · crypto income · migration · B2B. Each persona is tied to a specific product feature and pain, not a generic "crypto person." ANALYZED
02
We proved findability against the live base — rather than assuming it
5,353 + 21,405 in the EU for competitors, 4,238 across 9 crypto firms, live examples of diaspora and relocators. Eight of eight personas verified. MEASURED
03
Next — extraction for the ICPs you choose — from persona to list
The same engine that assembled your own headcount raises customers for you. From "market analysis" to "a list to grow on." ACTIONABLE
Recommendation on where to start. Three personas give the best balance of "hot × cost-efficient to source":
P3 — crypto earner in the EU: the largest and most precise fit, highest intent.
P1 — refugee from a competitor's card: the most cost-efficient and precise (a clean company filter), category already understood.
P6 — recent relocator: the sharpest bank-switch trigger + a showcase of the career analysis you can't do yourself.
For B2B volume — crypto founders (the B2B report) and P7 (web3 studios).
Next step. Name 1–3 personas — we'll raise the extraction for them (volume agreed before launch) and hand over the lists in the same format as reports 1–2.
