Outricher / research / brighty-app · report №4

The full team archive: who, when, and where they are now.

The first three reports mapped the current team. This one goes deeper — we pulled the entire archive of people ever connected to Brighty: those on the team today, and those who have left. 60 people, tagged by status, with tenures, career histories and — for leavers — where they are now. It's the snapshot most analysts never produce: not "who you have," but "how your team moved over time." Everything below is measured against the external professional graph, with no access to your internal systems.

Dataset behind this report

Every finding below is built on one dataset — the full team archive (current + departed). Request it now or keep reading the movement analysis through the report.

01What's new in this report

Earlier we exported only current employees (45 people). Now — the full archive: 45 current + 15 former = 60 unique people. Each is tagged with a current / former flag, tenure at Brighty and — for leavers — their current employer. That unlocks questions the data couldn't answer before:

One note on the count. The graph holds 74 profile records for Brighty, but some are repeat "snapshots" of the same people (a profile was re-scanned — a new record appeared under the same address). After collapsing duplicates by profile address, 60 real people remain. We always count people, not records — so the numbers stay honest.

02Attrition by function: where the team is unstable

The most useful part of the archive is seeing which functions lose people. The picture is telling for a fintech: the engineering core holds, while the commercial and product layers "leak."

The headline signal. Every Sales / BD person in our archive is a leaver (1 of 1, 100% attrition). Add the sole data analyst who also left. In other words, you've built and lost the commercial and analytics functions more than once — and today, in our slice, they're barely present in the current headcount. For a neobank moving into a growth phase, that's the first thing I'd look at.
And the opposite — positive — signal. Engineering churns at just 30%, and the founding engineers are still in place (see section 04). Your technical core is stable. The instability isn't in the product — it's in the go-to-market layer.

03Who left — and where they are now

15 people have left Brighty. For each, we reconstructed the role, year of departure and current position. This is your "attrition map" — where your talent goes. Median tenure of leavers: 23 months.

Two observations. First, two departed engineers are now at Revolut — and Revolut also shows up (9 people) in the past employers of your current team (section 05). The Revolut talent corridor runs both ways. Second, leavers are a ready-made "win-back" list: people who already know the product and the team. That's the warmest audience for re-hiring.
Short tenures in top roles. Two people left within roughly 11 months — one of them the Chief Marketing Officer. That explains why the current structure has no clear growth owner: a marketing leader was hired, but didn't stick. Tenure distribution of leavers: under 6 months — 0, 6–12 months — 4, 1–2 years — 7, over 2 years — 4.

04Founders and core: what has stayed since 2020

The archive lets us reconstruct the founding cohort — who joined in 2020–2021, at the very start. Of 14 early employees, 11 are still on the team. The 2020 core is especially telling:

NameRole (at the start)JoinedStatus

Ilia KisliakovskiiLead Backend Developer2020on the team
Alex MalkovLegal Advisor2020on the team

Scott CollinsGroup Human Resources Manager2021on the team
Yaroslav MinaevLead Software Developer (iOS)2021on the team
Ilia VoitsekhovskiiAndroid Developer2021on the team
A real strength. The 2020 engineering core — the CTO and nearly every lead engineer (Android / iOS / Backend) — is still in place 6 years on. For a crypto neobank that's rare and a big plus: the product is built by the same people who conceived it. The early cohort mostly lost product / iOS roles — and those were backfilled.

05How the team is connected: shared past employers

The reconstructed career histories reveal the companies that two or more of your people passed through. These are Brighty's "bloodlines" — the networks the team was drawn from, and at the same time a map of where to find more like them.

Why this matters to you. These nodes work both ways: they explain where the team came from — and they hand you a ready list of "where to source more." Want 50 people with a "Revolut + crypto" or "Monerchy-network" profile for a specific role? That's exactly the kind of dataset we build on request.

06The full current roster — all 45 people by name

To make it concrete: here is the entire current headcount, grouped by function, with location, join year and a contact-email flag. It's the same dataset you receive as a file — shown here as its human-readable slice.

Honest about the limits. There are no phone numbers for this team in the graph (0%), and e-mail is present for 35% — this is a crypto team, mostly outside the US, where third-party contact data is scarcer. We deliver what exists and never fabricate contacts. Data depth still went up (88 fields versus 82 on the current-only slice) — thanks to the rich career histories of the leavers.

What this means — and what we can do

The full archive proves a fourth thesis on top of the three before it: we see the team over time, not just today.

01
We know not only "who's here" — but "who was here"
60 people over 6 years: 45 current + 15 departed, with tenures and "where now." That's the movement of a team, not a static list. MEASURED
02
We see where the team is unstable — by function
The commercial and product layers leak, the engineering core holds. That's a diagnosis usually worth expensive consulting — here it falls straight out of the data. DIAGNOSIS
03
Leavers are an asset — win-back and an attrition map
15 former employees with current employers = a warm list for re-hiring + a read on where talent flows (yes, to Revolut). DELIVERABLE
04
And we'll repeat this for any company — on request
A competitor's full team archive, a segment's attrition map, "who left X in the last 2 years" — same mechanics, different input. REPEATABLE
Next step. Tell us which company you want the same full archive for (current + departed + attrition map) — and we'll deliver the dataset plus the analysis in the same format.
