The SpaceX Ecosystem,
mapped person by person.

SpaceX just went public — and every recruiter, fund and defense prime on earth is now hunting the same talent. We don't sell you a headcount list. We hand you the entire gravitational field around SpaceX: the core, the alumni diaspora, the colleagues who left with them, the NewSpace companies they now build and fund — and the pre-IPO insiders whose equity just turned to cash, the freshly-minted angels an investor network actually wants in the room.

42,170

01Four concentric circles of influence

"Network" on LinkedIn means a private friend-list nobody can buy. So we reconstruct it from something stronger and verifiable: shared work history. Who was inside SpaceX, who left and where they landed, who worked shoulder-to-shoulder with them, and which companies the diaspora now runs. Four rings, each one a sellable segment.

Circle 2 · Colleagues
Circle 1 · Alumni
Core
25,995
Circle 0 — Core 25,995
Current SpaceX employees. The asset the whole market is fighting over right now.
Circle 1 — Alumni diaspora 27,115
Former SpaceX people, now carrying that DNA across 74 leading destination companies. The diaspora is bigger than the company itself.
Circle 2 — Colleagues
People who shared an employer with the SpaceX cohort — reconstructed "co-workers" via overlapping tenure at Tesla, Boeing, Blue Origin, NASA… (top bridge: 1,844 people share their #1 non-SpaceX employer).
Circle 3 — Founders & funds 2,881
2,657 founders/CEOs + 567 investors (343 are both), behind 1,904 companies — the surface you actually want to "break into".
Tenure buckets overlap — 25,995 current and 27,115 former are not additive (a person can hold a current SpaceX role and a prior one). Only the 42,170 unique-person figure is a clean total; the rings show influence layers, not a sum.

02Circle 0 — the core asset

Everyone can scrape "people who say SpaceX on LinkedIn". We resolve the real entity (company_id 30846) and split it by tenure, so you know who is inside today versus who already carries the brand into the wild.

84.5% of the entire network — 35,624 unique people — already has a deliverable email sitting in our database. Most come from our 823M-record email graph (34,384 matched), with enrichment data filling further gaps (13,755); the two sources overlap, so the deduplicated total is 35,624. No paid lookup. No waiting. You could start outreach the same day.
For investor-network scouts · the angel angle

The newly-liquid — SpaceX’s freshly-minted angels

SpaceX went public in 2025. For everyone who joined before the IPO and stayed long enough for their stock to vest, that wasn’t just a headline — it was a personal liquidity event. Restricted stock and options that were paper for a decade just became cash. The result: a concentrated pool of technically-credible, suddenly-wealthy operators — the exact profile a space & deep-tech angel network wants in its room. We can pinpoint them by tenure, because the join date tells you who was holding equity through the IPO.

How we infer it (and what we never claim). We do not assert anyone’s net worth — that would be fabrication. We measure a hard, queryable signal: year they joined SpaceX (from their current position) crossed with seniority. A 4-year vesting cliff means anyone who joined on or before 2021 had equity fully vest by the 2025 IPO. The earlier the join and the more senior the role, the larger the grant — and the larger the realized gain. Tenure is the proxy; the wealth is the well-documented mechanism.

1,581

Everything from 2021 and earlier (gold) had a full 4-year vest by the 2025 IPO. The pre-2015 base is small but the highest-value — those are the people whose stake is life-changing, not just nice.

Why these are angel-grade, not just rich

664of the vested core hold a leadership title (VP / Chief / Director) — the biggest grants and the deepest networks.
836are senior individual contributors (Principal / Staff / Fellow) — large equity, deep technical credibility, exactly who founders want on a cap table.
381already carry an investor / angel title on a second role — proof the thesis is live: SpaceX money is already flowing into startups.
74already found, advise or sit on boards of other companies — operators turning liquidity into ownership.
73.6% of the vested core already has a deliverable email in our DB — 6,674 of 9,067 people, $0 enrichment. For an angel network, that means the highest-value, hardest-to-reach segment — newly-liquid SpaceX insiders — is already contactable today, ranked by how long they held equity.
What we’d hand a space-angel network. A ranked, deduplicated, contactable list of the 9,067 vested-core operators — scored on join-year (vesting depth) × seniority (grant size) × already-investing signal — with the 1,581 early-cohort names floated to the top. That is a curated room of credible, cash-rich, space-native angels that no generic list vendor can assemble, because nobody else reconstructs tenure from a 5.6B-position graph.

03Circle 1 — where the diaspora went

This is the part most lists skip. We followed the SpaceX cohort to their current employer and ranked the destinations. This is the live map of where SpaceX DNA is concentrated right now — the exact target list for poaching, partnerships, or competitive intel.

The cluster chips below total 11,701 alumni across the 74 leading destinations we ranked (the head of a long tail — the diaspora reaches thousands more smaller employers). They size the shape of the migration, not the whole 27,115.

08The connection score — how we rank

This is the methodology we apply when we turn the map into a ranked, per-person graph (the enrichment step). Each signal below is computable from the same work-history data — together they turn fuzzy "network" into a single defensible number, so the strongest SpaceX ties rise to the top instead of a flat list. The scored graph ships with the enrichment phase, not with this sizing map.

09What you get

📍 Today, from this map alone

  • 42,170 fully-profiled people across all four circles
  • 2,657 founders/CEOs + 567 investors already identified in the diaspora
  • $18B of funding mapped to 115 investors across the diaspora's cap tables
  • 35,624 deliverable emails at $0 — no enrichment spend
  • Ranked target lists by company, cluster, geography, school, role and capital

🚀 What we can pull next (on request)

  • Full contacts — personal email, phone, Twitter/X, GitHub per person
  • Seniority & function tagging (propulsion / avionics / GNC / structures / leadership)
  • Full investor cap tables & deal terms beyond the lead investors shown
  • Live deltas — who joined or left SpaceX, and new rounds, this quarter
  • The same ecosystem map for any anchor company you name

Method. Anchored on the real SpaceX entity (company_id 30846) inside a 1.17B-profile professional graph. Tenure split, alumni-destination and shared-employer graphs computed over 5.6B career positions; contact coverage measured against an 823M-record email graph + enrichment store. "Network" is reconstructed from shared work history (co-tenure / alumni / shared employers), not from private LinkedIn connections — a stronger, auditable signal. Counts are consolidated across duplicate LinkedIn company entities for the same employer (e.g. Anduril, Rocket Lab, Firefly each carry several IDs, summed). Founders/CEOs and investors are identified by classifying each person's current job title (founder/CEO/owner vs investor/VC/GP/angel) within the diaspora; placeholder "Stealth", student rocketry clubs and ambiguous "partner" titles are filtered out. Funding figures come from Crunchbase data joined to the diaspora's companies by company ID; Crunchbase typically names only lead/notable investors per round, so investor lists and capital sums are floors, and SpaceX's own (fragmentary) rounds are excluded from the capital ranking.
Integrity. Every number on this page is a live query result. Nothing is estimated, padded or fabricated. Tenure buckets overlap and are not additive — only 42,170 is a unique-person total. Cluster chips and company tables cover the ranked head of destinations, not every employer the diaspora reached. 259 alumni-placements and 14,520 shared-employer records in unresolvable LinkedIn dust-bucket / aggregator entities and "Self-employed / Stealth" buckets were excluded from the rankings. Contact data is counted here for sizing only — not exported in this phase.
